How do private equity funds work?

Answered By Editor

Private Equity Investments are investments in companies that are struggling. The reason that they work well for some people is that you can get the stock for low prices. Usually, you can make money off of them.

For example: certain stocks are not doing well in the market right now. So, let's say you bought stock in a company that was not doing well. You know that eventually the market will go back up and so will your stocks. So, you'll end up buying your stocks at a low price, but making a lot of money off of them.
